weekend roundup

My little sister has been a Big Apple resident for over a year, but has yet to experience a lot of the "touristy" things that New Yorkers tend to avoid.  So to celebrate her birthday, we bundled up for a bit of sightseeing.

Afterwards, we warmed up with lunch and drinks for St. Patty's Day.

To top it all off, I had a double date at Macondo with Alaina (see her post here)!  They even surprised me with a treat for my own birthday, which is later this week.

Do you ever "play tourist" where you live?

This is kinda what I want to do this summer! Be a tourist as many times as I can even though I've been a New Yorker for 27 years!! hehe. =)

Happy Birthday to your lil sis!

i think it's wonderful to play tourist in your city! however, i will admit that NYC has a bit more to do than indianapolis (where i am currently living).

It's always fun to do touristy things in a city especially if you haven't done it yet! Looks like you had a great time!
